Blogs

As a rapidly growing area on the web, these can no longer be ignored. They range from blogs of highly specialised interest, to broad ranging sites that aim to point to items of interest in a number of disciplines. Perhaps even more than other websites, they demand a fair bit of concentration and self-control to remain on task and not be distracted by fascinating irrelevancies. The following is a short list of sites of value with medieval interest. You may find many more.

Geoffrey Chaucer Hath a Blog ?????

Do not, under any circumstances, open this blog when you are supposed to be studying. A medievalist (or several) comment on modern times in Chaucerian English in ways that are funny, witty and a tad obsessive/compulsive. There is an excellent set of links to some of the best English medieval websites, although the titles have been mangled into Chaucerian English. If you always wondered what would have happened if King Richard had had an iPhone, this might be for you, but wait until after the exams!
